Lee White, Sterling’s Managing Director, is a specialist in developing public transport solutions and infrastructure feasibility assessments and scheme delivery.
Lee has applied this experience to a range of high-profile studies and delivered projects across the UK and overseas.
He has led a number of transport scheme feasibility studies as Project Director, including scheme development, evaluation and process management activities and has also been Project Director and Technical Lead for the development of significant infrastructure proposals.
More recently, Lee has concentrated on the assessment of transport schemes for operational, economic and commercial viability. This has included both business case production, funding strategy consideration and assurance roles at director level.
Before forming Sterling, Lee was a Market Director for a major international consultancy responsible for the development and delivery of a portfolio of advisory work across all modes of public transport.
This also included a range of wider work areas as diverse as urban movement and place making, highway development management and transport policy formulation.
Prior to his consultancy career, he led the delivery of a shire county’s portfolio of major transport projects across road, rail and bus, including engagement with ministers, central government officials and elected members (often council leaders and transport cabinet members).
Lee has also served as a Local Authority transport unit manager, responsible for all transport operations, transport policy and capital programme activities, and has a background in the operational and commercial management of public transport.
